and Inverness Hogmanay Cancelled
31 December 2009
Sad news Chilli fans. Owing to the very bad weather in Inverness, the decision was taken by the police that it would not be safe for the public to travel to the party and so the whole event was cancelled. The Chillis were very sad to hear the news - especially as we know that so many of you were planning to make a special journey to bring in the Bells of 2010 with the guys.

But that's not all.

Tonight was to be the very last gig for super Willie Armstrong! Hard to believe I know but from tomorrow the Chillis will be without the services of this amazing piper on stage with them.

Willie is one of the founder members of the band and has played such a huge party of the Chilli story and  the Chilli success. Willie has decided to spend more time with his family and take up his career in the Fire Service which he left to travel the world with the band. So his future is likely to be Red Hot - but in an entirely different way.

Willie - we shall miss you and we cannot thank you enough for all you have done for the band. You put your heart and soul into everything you  ever did and you will always be our best friend. Good luck with the future big man and thanks for everything.
